What are prebiotics?

Prebiotics are a form of specialised plant fibre that provides food for the bacteria in your stomach and promotes their growth. They can be found in produce that has complex carbs like fibre and starch, such as fruits and vegetables. Since your body is unable to digest these carbohydrates, they bypass the digestive tract and enter your colon, where the microbes in your gut metabolise and ferment the prebiotics. Different short-chain fatty acids are produced as a result of the breakdown of prebiotics. These short-chain fatty acids enhance your metabolic and general health by giving your colon’s cells the energy they need, creating the appropriate mucus, lowering inflammation, and boosting immunity. We wanted to have the lowest possible sugar content, so all out alcoholic & non alcoholic bevs are 99% sugar free. There are no added sweeteners, we have chosen specific natural flavours which provide a great fruit profile and a touch of sweetness to our products.
